BEEF STEW 
1 3/4 lb. chuck or round roast
1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can carrots
3 tbsp. oil
1/4 c. diced onion
2 3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
3 - 4 med. potatoes, cubed
1 can peas
1/2 tsp. garlic

Ct meat in 1 1/2 inch cubes. Combine flour, pepper and salt in paper bag. Add meat, shake until pieces are coated. Heat oil in pan, add meat, brown on all sides. Add diced onion, garlic powder, boiling water, canned tomatoes, salt and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and reduce heat to low, simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender. Then add potatoes, carrots and cook 20 minutes. Add peas. Then serve.
