JELLO COOKIES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. fruit flavored gelatin
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Reserve 1 tablespoon gelatin (dry) for glaze.

Mix remaining gelatin, powdered sugar and butter. Stir in flour and salt. Shape dough into 1" balls, 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until set, but not brown, cool.

GLAZE: Mix 1 tablespoon gelatin and 3 tablespoons hot water. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 2 cups powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Drizzle over cookies. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
