PEACH COBBLER | |
3 c. sliced fresh peaches 3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. butter Put peaches in a greased baking dish. Mix together sugar and flour. Sprinkle over peaches. Sprinkle the lemon juice and then dot with butter. TOPPING: 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 1/3 c. butter 1 egg, well beaten 3/4 c. milk For topping, sift dry ingredients and mix in butter until mixture is like coarse crumbs. Add combined egg and milk and mix until just moistened. Drop dough in mounds over peaches. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 30 minutes. |
