BAKED SWEET POTATOES WITH APPLES 
3 lg. apples
3 tbsp. butter
3 lg. sweet potatoes, cooked & skinned
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. maple syrup

Core, pare and slice apples and fry them in butter until light brown. Slice the sweet potatoes. Arrange apples and potatoes in alternate layers in a baking dish. Sprinkle with salt, if desired. Pour syrup over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. (NOTE: Bread crumbs or marshmallow may be placed over top of this dish before baking.)
