POTATOES ANNA 
1/2 c. butter, room temperature
2 lbs. thinly sliced potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Use an iron skillet. Grease skillet with 3 tablespoons butter. Arrange 1/3 of potato slices in bottom of skillet. Dot with butter. Continue layering potatoes and butter. Place skillet on medium high heat to brown bottom layer of potatoes, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5 minutes more.
