HOMEMADE SODA CRACKERS | |
4 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 3/4 cup buttermilk 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease several baking sheets. Combine flour and butter using a pastry cutter. Set aside. Combine milk, vinegar, baking soda and salt. Add to flour mixture. Work dough into a ball. Roll out to a uniform 1/5-inch (5mm) thickness. Using a 2-inch round or square cutter, cut into crackers. Prick tops several times with the tines of a fork. Sprinkle tops with additional salt, if desired. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
