BEER BREAD | |
3 c. flour 1 3/4 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt, vary to taste 2 tbsp. sugar, vary to taste 1 (12 oz.) can beer 1/4 c. butter (optional or vary to taste) Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add beef and mix. Stir just enough to make lumpy. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Pour melted butter on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Makes one loaf. For calorie or cholesterol conscious persons butter may be left off, bread is just as good without. Great with salad or soup or just plain eating. |
