BUTTERSCOTCH YAMS 
6 med. sized yams, cooked, peeled, and halved
3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
1/3 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. light cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Arrange yams in a single layer in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. In heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan, stir together sugar, syrup, cream, butter, salt, and cinnamon. Stir constantly; bring to boil over medium heat and boil 3 minutes. Pour over yams. Bake 10 minutes longer, basting once. 6 servings.
