CORN COB JELLY | |
12 corn cobs, wash, break them up. Cover with water. Let come to a boil, boil 30 minutes. Strain this broth. The red cob is the only color. Mix 3 cups of the juice with a box of sure jel; bring to a boil. Add 3 cups sugar, let this boil for 2 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. If it fails to jel, makes great syrup for pancakes or waffles. |
