MAPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. pecans, coarsely cut
1 egg
1 c. maple chips
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix butter, maple syrup, nuts, maple chips and egg. Sift flour, soda and salt, and add to the mixture. Beat well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields: about 2 1/2 dozen.
