ARMENIAN RICE PILAF 
2 tbsp. butter
2 coils vermicelli
1 c. rice
1 can beef consomme
1 c. water

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in pan. Break up and brown 2 coils of vermicelli to golden brown. Add rice to absorb the rest of butter. Add consomme and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Cover tightly and simmer for 30 minutes. Season to taste. Serves 4 to 6.
