1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Dash of salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. applesauce
2 c. flour

Mix sugar, oil, egg, and milk together. Sift dry ingredients; add applesauce last. Have fat hot, drop by teaspoons. Drain on paper towels.
