BAKED LASAGNA 
Cook lasagna according to directions. (4 quarts boiling water, 2 tablespoons salt, 1 tablespoon oil. Add 1 strip at a time. Boil 10 to 12 minutes.) Separate occasionally. Drain in cold water.

MEAT SAUCE:

1 lb. ground beef (brown)
1 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
1 tsp. garlic (minced)
1 med. onion (finely chopped)
1/4 tsp. sweet basil
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
4 (6 oz.) cans water
Salt and pepper to taste

CHEESE FILLING:

2 (12 oz.) cartons sm. curd cottage cheese
1 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese

Lightly grease large baking dish and spoon in enough meat sauce to cover bottom. Top with strips of lasagna (cooked). Spread with part of cheese. Repeat, ending with meat sauce. If desired, sprinkle with 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 5-10 minutes to set layers. Cut into 3 inch squares.
