OVEN STEW 
1 1/2 lb. stew meat
1 can tomatoes
1 c. chopped celery
1 onion, chopped
1 bay leaf
several carrots and potatoes, cut up
3 tbsp. tapioca
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 slice bread, torn in small pieces

Put all in large casserole and cover.

Bake 5 hours at 250°F or longer.
