LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1/2 to 1 head shredded lettuce
Red onion (use sparingly)
1 c. chopped celery
1 box uncooked frozen peas
1 c. chopped cauliflower
1 pkg. Good Season's Italian salad dressing mix
Bacon bits to taste
1 to 2 c. mayonnaise
Parmesan cheese to cover top

Use oblong Pyrex pan. Cover bottom of pan with lettuce, then other vegetables in layers. Sprinkle salad dressing mix on top of layered vegetable. Sprinkle bacon bits on top. Seal salad with mayonnaise to cover completely. Sprinkle Parmesan on top of mayonnaise. Cover and refrigerate overnight. A great summer time salad to serve with brisket or barbecue chicken.
