FIG CAKE 
2 c. raw figs, mashed
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix figs, sugar, shortening and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and add. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared large rectangular pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
