GRAVY-BAKED PORK CHOPS | |
4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick Salt and pepper 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1/3 c. water 1 onion, thinly sliced or minced 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and brown in large skillet. Mix soup, milk and water and pour this mixture around chops in skillet. Stir in onion and mushrooms. Cover skillet and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes, or until chops are tender. Stir now and then. Serves 2-4. |
