CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1 (4 oz.) pkg. German sweet chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan, melt chocolate and butter; cool. In small bowl, beat together the 2 eggs and the 1 teaspoon vanilla; gradually add the 3/4 cup sugar. Continue beating until thick and gradually add the 3/4 cup sugar. Continue beating until thick and lemon colored. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture, beating well. Blend in cooled chocolate mixture and the nuts; set aside.

In mixer bowl, cream together cream cheese and the remaining sugar until fluffy. Blend in the remaining egg and vanilla. Spread half of the chocolate in greased and lightly floured 8"x8"x2" baking pan. Put cheese mixture over top with spoonfuls of the reserved chocolate mixture. With narrow spatula, swirl through to marble. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.
