6 tbsp. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
3 eggs
3 tbsp. powdered cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Dash salt
1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust

Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on "blend" speed for 2 minutes. Pour into a pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Turn off oven and allow pie to set an additional 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature, then chill. Garnish with whipped cream and cherries if desired.
