1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. raisins, softened
1 c. crushed bananas (optional)
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour

Place butter, boiling water and oats in a saucepan and let stand 20 minutes or so.

In a separate bowl mix the rest of the ingredients then pour contents of the saucepan into the mixture. Stir well. Pour into a 9x13 pan. Bake 350 degrees about 30 minutes.
