PEANUT BUTTER CRINKLES 
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
sugar
chocolate kisses, nuts, jam or jelly

In bowl with mixer at medium speed beat butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. At low speed beat in next 4 ingredients. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in 350°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned. Immediately press candies or nuts into cookies, or press with thumb and fill with jam or jelly. Cool. Store in airtight container.

Makes 6 dozen.
