CARAMEL LAYER COOKIES 
1 pkg. caramels (14 1/2 oz.)
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 box german chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.)

Melt in double boiler caramels, 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Mix cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk, melted butter, chopped nuts. (Mix with spoon). Take 1/2 cake mixture and spread on 8 x 12 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. (No longer). Sprinkle 6 oz. package of chocolate chips while hot. Then drizzle caramel mix on top. Drop remaining cake mixture by teaspoon on top of this. Bake 18 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut in small squares. Very Rich!! Very Yummy!!
