1 c. butter
2 c. lite. brown sugar
2 eggs (beaten)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. each: vanilla, soda, cream of tartar

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, and other ingredients in order given. Use enough flour to make a stiff enough dough to form a roll. Wrap in waxed paper in 2 or 3 rolls. Let stand in ice box overnight. Slice and bake.
