STUFFED DATE DROPS 
1 lb. pitted dates
1 c. pecan halves (70)
1/4 c. shortening or butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Stuff dates with nuts. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Stir in dates. drop onto greased cookie sheet (a date per cookie). Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Frost with a stick of butter, powdered sugar, milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
