2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add 2 tablespoons vinegar to 1 cup milk and stir then add 2 teaspoons baking soda to milk and stir until foamy. Add to sugar mixture and stir. Add all dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
