POLISH BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
Use small pickling cucumbers. Wash cucumbers and slice very thin. peel and slice 3 large onions very thin (or use pearl onions). Mix the sliced cucumbers and onions together and place in a 1 gallon jar.

Heat 4 cups of cider vinegar with 4 cups of sugar and 1/2 cup of Kosher salt until sugar and salt are dissolved. Add: 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. celery seed
