BARBEQUE MEAT LOAF | |
2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. bread crumbs 1 med. onion, finely chopped 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, divided 1/2 c. water 3 tbsp. brown sugar 3 tbsp. vinegar Dash of hot sauce 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Spoon into a 10 x 6 x 1 3/4 inch baking dish and shape into a loaf. Combine remaining 1/2 cup tomato sauce and remaining ingredients; pour over meat loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes, basting occasionally with sauce. Yield: 6 to 8 servings. |
