COCOA COOKIE CAKE 
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease pan. In saucepan (low heat) melt butter and add cocoa and water. Bring mixture to a boil. Add boiling mixture to dry mixture. Stir in butter and eggs. Mix well. Pour into pan and bake for 20 minutes or until done. Ice immediately. (Buttermilk = 1 cup milk plus 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice.)

ICING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. evaporated milk
1 lb. powdered sugar (4 1/2 c.), sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. cocoa

Melt butter over low heat. Add cocoa and milk. Add sifted powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir until smooth and spread on hot cake.
