DOUBLE BOILER BREAD PUDDING 
3/4 c. brown sugar
3 slices buttered bread, cubed
2 c. milk
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Grease sides and bottom of double boiler. Place brown sugar in double boiler (do not stir). Pour 1 cup milk over bread. Beat 3 eggs and salt and vanilla into remaining cup of milk; add to bread/milk mixture. Pour into double boiler (do not stir). Cook 2 hours over simmering water. When pudding is turned onto a dish, the brown sugar forms a sauce.
