COCOA KISS COOKIES
1 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1 c. finely chopped pecans
1 (9 oz.) pkg. Hershey's milk chocolate kisses (about 54)
Confectioner's sugar

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl. Combine flour and cocoa; blend into creamed mixture. Add pecans; beat on low speed until well blended. Chill dough about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Meanwhile, unwrap kisses. Shape scant tablespoon of dough around each chocolate kiss, covering kiss completely. Shape into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove to wire rack. Cool completely; roll in confectioner's sugar. Roll in sugar again before serving, if desired. About 4 1/2 dozen cookies.

Cocoa Kiss Cookies

Great cookie! The batter didn't look/taste promising, though these were delicious after made. Mine flattened out, as expected, so the whole "roll in sugar" is out of the question. They were great just as they were. We used Hugs instead of milk chocolate kisses. Also, this recipe only made about 25 cookies, but we are not complaining!
