TAKE - ALONG TURKEY PITAS | |
3/4 c. plain yogurt 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. chopped cucumber, pared and seeded 1 tbsp. chopped parsley 1/8 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. dill weed; optional 3/4 lb. boneless cooked turkey breasts, cut into 3/4 inch cubes 1 c. alfalfa sprouts 1 med. tomato, chopped 6 whole wheat pita bread rounds, or 3 lg. rounds, cut in half Combine yogurt, mayonnaise, cucumber, parsley, garlic salt, and dill weed. Gently stir in turkey, alfalfa sprouts, and tomato. Line each pita round with Romaine lettuce leaf. Spoon about 3/4 cup turkey mixture into each. Serve immediately. Makes 6 servings. |
