CABBAGE PATCH STEW 
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. oil
2 med. onions, thinly sliced
1 c. shredded cabbage
1/2 c. diced celery
2 c. water (hot)
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1 c. chopped, cooked tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. chili powder
Hot mashed potatoes

Brown beef in hot oil over medium heat. Add onion, cabbage, and celery; cook until onion is transparent. Add water; simmer over low heat 15 minutes. Add beans, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Simmer over low heat 15 minutes. Top each bowlful with mashed potatoes.
