2 lb. chop meat 1 lb. ziti 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 lb. butter, melted 3 eggs, beaten Parmesan cheese 4 c. Bechamel Sauce BECHAMEL SAUCE: Heat 4 cups milk. Melt 1/2 cup butter in pan. Add 6 tablespoons flour, brown lightly. Add flour mix to hot milk, stir until thick. Saute chop meat, onion and garlic. Add cinnamon and tomato sauce, simmer 30 minutes. Boil ziti noodles al dente, drain and cool. To noodles add butter, Parmesan cheese and eggs. Make Bechamel Sauce. Place 1/2 noodle mixture on bottom of buttered baking dish. Add meat sauce mixture. Top with remaining noodle mixture. Cover with Bechamel Sauce. Top with more grated cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
