HEALTH BREAD 
2 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. quick oatmeal
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
2 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. bran
3/4 c. molasses
2-3 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. warm water
4-5 c. white flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine oatmeal, salt, shortening, boiling water, bran in very large bowl. Cool to lukewarm. Add dissolved yeast, then molasses. Mix well. Stir in 2-3 cups whole wheat flour. Gradually add white flour to make a soft dough. Knead well until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turning dough once. Cover. Let rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour. Punch down, divide in half. Let rest 10 minutes. Shape into 2 large or 3 smaller loaves. Place in greased pan. Let rise until double, about 45 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes.
