This recipe has always been considered a Polish dish in our family. If it is or not, no one knows. Lg. mixing bowl of very dried bread 1 tsp. salt 1 pinch pepper 2 eggs Flour - enough to make dough firm enough to roll out Moisten dry bread with water (do not make soggy). Add ingredients to make dough. Divide dough into sections. Roll sections between hands until they are 1/2 inch thick. (Rolled sections should look like long bread sticks). Cut rolls into 3/4 inch chunks. Drop chunks into pot of boiling salted water. Let chunks boil for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain. Serve hot with butter. |
