WHOLE WHEAT MIX FOR PANCAKES OR
BISCUITS
 
8 c. flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. powdered milk
2 c. veg. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. baking powder
1 tbsp. salt

In large bowl, mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse meal. Store in closed container.

To make biscuits, make a well with 1 1/2 cup mix, add 1/3 cup water. Stir quickly with fork until all is moistened. Bake in muffin tins at 350 degrees. To make pancakes, beat 1 egg in a bowl, add 1 cup water, then 2 cups mix. Bake on hot griddle.
