APPLE CUTS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg & enough water to make 2/3 c.

Mix first 4 ingredients with pastry blender. Add egg and water mixture. Roll out 1/2 dough and place on a cookie sheet. Spread with 3 to 4 handfuls of Corn Flakes. Add 2 layers of sliced apples. Sprinkle with mixture of 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

Roll remaining dough and put over top. Seal edges. Brush with beaten egg whites. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. When done, drizzle with a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla.
