3 CHEESE MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
5 tbsp. butter 2 1/2 c. milk 1 tbsp. prepared spicy mustard Pepper 1 1/2 c. extra sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (6 oz.) 1/4 c. flour 1 lb. macaroni 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 c. homemade bread crumbs in blender 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. paprika Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 2 quart baking dish. Melt butter, stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually add the milk. Cook until thickened. Stir in mustard, Cheddar cheese and pepper. Stir until cheese is melted. Add to cooked and drained macaroni. Next stir Mozzarella in. Brown bread crumbs in butter, add Parmesan and paprika. Sprinkle on top. Bake until bubbly (10 minutes). To achieve proper degree of creaminess, do not bake the usual 20 minutes or cheese turns rubbery. Serves 8. |
