6 slices bacon
2 med. onions, chopped
1 med. size green pepper, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
2 ( 16 oz) cans pork & beans
3/4 c. catsup
1/4 to 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar

Cook bacon in large skillet until almost crisp, remove bacon. Crumble bacon, set aside.

Add onion, green pepper and ground beef to drippings. Cook over medium heat until meat is browned, stir to crumble. Drain off pan drippings. Combine bacon, meat mixture, and all remaining ingredients, mix well. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
