HOLIDAY BREAD 
1 lb. butter, melted
12 eggs
4 c. sugar
6 yeast cakes
2 c. milk, scalded
Flour
2 tsp. salt
Cinnamon-water, made with 2 cinnamon sticks
1 orange peel
Few cloves coriander seed
About 2 c. liquid
2 tbsp. coriander seed, crushed
1 tsp. cumin seed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. anise oil or crushed masticha gum
Sesame seed for top

Boil orange peeling and cloves of coriander seed for about 15 minutes, strain and use in dough.

Mix butter and sugar well. Add beaten eggs, blending thoroughly. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with about 1 tablespoon sugar. Add spices. Mix thoroughly and begin adding flour until dough can easily be handled. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.

Place in greased pan. Cover and allow to rise in warm place until double in size. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seed. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
