MASTER MIX 
5 lb. flour
2 1/2 c. dry milk
3/4 c. baking powder
3 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
2 lb. vegetable shortening

Stir baking powder, salt, cream of tartar, dry milk and sugar into flour; sift all together. Cut in shortening until mix looks like cornmeal. Put in gallon jars and tighten lid. Store at room temperature.
