BUTTERSCOTCH BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. brown sugar (tightly packed)
4 tbsp. white sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour

Cream butter and add sugar and egg yolk and cream again. Add flour and stir into dough. Pinch off small amount and roll to size of walnut. Put on cookie sheet and press out lightly with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 11 or 12 minutes.
