TURNIP CASSEROLE SERVES EIGHT 
3 lg. carrots
3 sm. turnips
2 tbsp. bread crumbs
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. cream

Boil carrots and turnips together, drain and put through sieve. Add remaining ingredients. Put in casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
