CHOP SUEY 
1 lb. ground or sliced meat
2 carrots, sliced thin
2 celery ribs, sliced thin
1 sm. onion, sliced thin
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced thin or 2 c. broccoli flowers
2 c. water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. molasses or brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ginger, garlic and pepper to taste
4 servings cooked rice

Brown meat. Add carrots, celery, onion, water chestnuts, green pepper or broccoli. Cook until tender crisp. Meanwhile, mix water, cornstarch, soy sauce, molasses, ginger, garlic and pepper in bowl until dissolved. Add to meat mixture and simmer until thickened. Serve over rice.
