CRANBERRY SALAD 
1 lb. fresh cranberries
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
4 or 5 sm. diced apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
2 (6 oz.) pkgs. red Jello

In food grinder or blender, grind cranberries and mix with sugar. Allow mixture to set until sugar dissolves. Add rest of ingredients with exception of Jello. Prepare Jello in usual manner and allow to cool until partly set. Then add all other ingredients to Jello and chill until firm. It can be made ahead of time. Serves 8 to 10, depending on appetites.
