HAMBURG CHOW MEIN | |
1 lb. hamburg 2 onions (medium), sliced thin 4 stalks celery, sliced thin 1 can Chinese vegetables 1 can bean sprouts 1/3 stick butter 1 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Thickening: 3 tbsp. cornstarch 3 tbsp. water (cold) 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce Brown hamburg; set aside. Brown onions and celery in butter; add salt, pepper and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, except thickening sauce, and heat until hot. Now combine thickening ingredients together and immediately add to pot. Continue cooking until slightly thickened and serve hot over cooked rice or Chinese crunchy noodles. Serves 4 to 6. ENJOY! |
