NORWEGIAN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (or 2 sticks butter)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins (dusted with fork)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine shortening, brown sugar and white sugar. Mix well. Add eggs and beat together. Sift flour and baking powder. Add milk and flour mixture alternately. Add vanilla, raisins and walnuts. Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes.
