SPICE BISCUITS 
1 c. rye flour
1 c. white flour
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. molasses
1/3 c. vegetable oil
2/3 c. buttermilk

Sift together dry ingredients. Measure the molasses, oil and buttermilk into 1 measuring cup. Do not stir. Make a hole in the dry ingredients. Pour the liquid into the hole. With a fork stir until the dough mixture cleans the sides of the bowl and rounds up into a ball. Drop heaping tablespoon of batter into greased muffin tins or onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees.
