ASPARAGUS WITH MUSTARD SAUCE 
1 lb. fresh asparagus (stems lightly peeled)
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
Dash hot red pepper sauce

Trim tough ends off asparagus. In microwavable square or rectangular dish arrange asparagus spears so that the tips are in the center or alternate tips and ends. Add water. Cover with plastic wrap turning back one corner to vent. Microwave on high 6 to 8 minutes or just until tender crisp, rearranging spears after 4 minutes. Let asparagus stand 3 minutes.

In microwave bowl blend flour and mustard until smooth. Stir in milk, salt and pepper. Microwave on high 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Spoon sauce over asparagus and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
