1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
Pinch of salt

Sift salt and soda with flour. Mix butter in with cutter. It will look like crumbs. Add brown sugar. Add nuts. Beat eggs until light then add to dough mixture which will be rather firm. Knead with hands until smooth. Make into small round rolls (diameter of a quarter and 6 inches long). Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and put in freezer until very firm. Take out and slice. Cook on 350 degrees until light brown (approximately 8 to 10 minutes). Makes approximately 15 dozen.
